2007 Pine Barrens 500

The Next Great Adventure

The PB500 route is a "Cloverleaf" configuration, the Start, Finish and overnights are all be at the same location, the Hammonton Ramada Inn, on Rt 30. This makes the logistics more manageable for the riders and support crews. The hotel has plenty of parking for the trailers and has been very accommodating in the past. It's close to a few Bar's and Restaurants, so we can go "out" after we return to the "Base".

The PB500 will boldly go where no Dual Sport ride has gone before. There will be three loops. Friday's loop "The Great North" will hit Forked River Mountain and the cranberry bogs of Lebanon.

Saturday will take the riders south to Hammer Country and the shore of the Delaware Bay. With some sweet gravel roads on the way down and thru the marshes of Tuckahoe on the way back.

Sundays ride will be the most challenging and will take you to the heart of Brendan Byrne "Lebanon" and Wharton State Forests, as well as a few other tasty spots. Lots of deep sand and mud. Big Bike go arounds are on the route.

The Hammonton Ramada Inn 609 561 5700 has rooms available for $75, two to a room, I've blocked 25 rooms, make your reseverations by Sept 14, and mention the PB500 when you call.

The cost of the full event is $125 US which includes a dinner on Saturday or $30 per day. Riders who complete full ride will get a PB500 shirt. Shirts can also be purchased.
